PRECIOUS TIME

PRECIOUS TIME: This is with reference to the article ‘Time and tide wait for none” (YW, Aug 19), which rightly pointed out the need to value one’s time. If we do not give it the respect it deserves, we might face many difficulties in the future. Time is a limited resource, just like money, and we have only a certain length of time in our lives. It is important to make the most of it, and not to waste it on unproductive or unnecessary things. Time is a precious gift, and how we choose to use it can greatly impact our lives. Managing our time wisely is the key to success.

TURBAT LIBRARY: The Digital Library in Turbat is the second largest library of the city, with an enrolment of more than 5,000 students. The library has recently increased its fee from Rs500 to Rs700, which means most of the students belonging to humble backgrounds cannot afford it anymore. Besides, the library lacks basic facilities and proper seating arrangement. A large number of students are forced to sit outside without even a shade over their heads. The government should facilitate the poor students so they may continue their education.

NOT-SO-GREAT PEOPLE: The national airline often cancels its flights because it does not have the money to buy fuel and spare parts. The airline for years has carried the slogan of ‘Great people to fly with’. It is time for the airline to change it to ‘Great people not to fly with’. With the proposed change, the airline can at least not be sued for false advertising.

SEPARATING WALL: The high wall built by the Railways department to bifurcate Hijrat Colony from Bath Island and Clifton is a mindboggling act. The wall has hampered the daily commute of people. What exactly is the point of having a wall at all? The relevant authorities should revisit the decision.
