Farida Nijim, one of the freed Palestinians, spoke to Al Jazeera after her release to describe the conditions prisoners endured in Israeli prisons.

She said prisoners were not given clean drinking water or enough food.

“We have suffered a lot in prisons,” Nijim said, who is from Nablus.

“We’ve been humiliated on our way back. They always treated us in a very bad way,” she added.

Nijim said she was “very happy” to have been released.

“I want to thank the people in Gaza for their resistance and may God bless them with patience.”
