Two revenue officials arrested

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 17: The anti-corruption police on Friday arrested two officials of the revenue department of Kandiaro for allegedly taking bribe from a khatedar.

The circle officer of anti-corruption police, Naushahro Feroze, Rahim Bux Malik, raided tapedar’s office in Kandiaro on the complaint of a khatedarr, Aslam Chandio, and arrested tapedar Ahmed Khan Kalhoro of Deh Molodero and his Kotar, Sattar, while receiving tainted money of Rs3,000.

The arrested revenue officials were locked up at the Naushahro Feroze police station.

Later, about 40 members of the Tapedars Association, led by Bakht Ali Khushik and Makhdoom, gathered at the Star Chowk, Kandiaro, and demanded immediate release of the two arrested revenue officials.

They alleged that the anti-corruption police were blackmailing the tapedars and was demanding bribe.
