Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has urged Canada to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, terming its stance an “unusual” one.

MSF Canada Executive Director Joseph Belliveau has written an open letter to Prime Minister Justice Trudeau.

Speaking at Canada’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, he said, “This brutal annihilation of an entire population’s health system stretches beyond what humanitarian aid can fix. Doctors can’t stop bombs.”

Meanwhile, MSF Project Coordinator Christophe Garner said that Gaza’s Nasser hospital was overflowing with patients, with the bombing near Khan Younis feeling “constant and very intense”.
