A spokesperson for the Health Ministry in Gaza told Al Jazeera that Abu Salmiya, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital, is en route from the northern part of the enclave to the south with other medics after he was arrested by Israeli forces.
Israeli broadcaster Kan reported that he was questioned by the intelligence service Shin Bet following his arrest.
