“The only thing the children of Gaza dream of now is to live in peace and safety and return to their homes that are mere debris, with all their memories still inside,” reads a letter sent to UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini on World Children’s Day.
The letter was shared in a post by Lazzarini on X saying: “I received this moving letter from UNRWA students calling for international action to end the war in Gaza.” He added that the letter was written by members of the Agency-wide School Parliament.
“How can the world remain silent in the face of their suffering? Why are their voices and cries not heard? Why should they bear all this suffering alone? We need your help and international action to end their suffering.”
