Richard Brennan, a WHO official based in Cairo, has said that babies evacuated from Gaza are “not out of the woods yet” but he is “cautiously optimistic” they would make a recovery, Al Jazeera reports.
“We’re cautiously optimistic they will do well but we have to watch them very, very closely,” said Richard Brennan, while speaking to ABC NewsRadio.
“They can still develop further complications and deteriorate acutely. They’re not out of the woods yet by any means, so they need that intensive care for some time to come.”
