Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has said that Israel should do “some honest soul-searching” as spoke about the killings of thousands of Palestinian civilians — many of whom are children — in Gaza.

Addressing Margalla Dialogue 2023 in Islamabad, he said, “In human history, I have heard of the killing of children on the advent of Moses’ birth, the pharaohs ordered that all the children among the Bani Israel have to be killed as he feared that some child is gonna be born and he will challenge the authority of the pharaoh.

“And then ironically, I see the killing of children by the same people who claim and adhere to the value of Moses and claim that they do believe in his prophet.

“There has to be some soul-searching, and there has to be some honest soul-searching,” the premier said as he highlighted the need for a Palestinian state that can have the framework like other nation-states to deal with the issues facing it.
