PUTD retains trophy

LAHORE, Feb 15: Punjab University Teaching Departments (PUTD) obtained 61 points to retain the university’s Women Inter-collegiate athletics championship on Wednesday.

Government College, Madina Town, Faisalabad secured runners-up position with 47 points while Government College for Women, Samundari bagged the third position with 13 points.

Results:

3000m: Kausar Batool (GCWMTF) 13min 55.28sec; Sumaira Tayyaba (GCWMTF); Salma Shaukat (PUTD).

High jump: Shumaila Sattar (PUTD) 1.35met; Raheela Ayaz (PUTD); Alia Ishaq (GCW, Gojra) and Asma Ashraf (GC Phys Education College) joint third.

800m: Amna Khalid (GCW Gulberg, Lahore) two min 45.69sec; Fakhra Bano (GCWS); Ansa Shamim (GCWS).

4x100m relay: PUTD 57.47sec; GCWMTF; GCPEW.
