In the late hours of last night and early this morning, Israeli airstrikes and heavy bombardment continued to pound the entire Gaza Strip from north to south, Al Jazeera reports.

In the southern part of Gaza, the eastern part of Khan Younis came under heavy artillery shelling while tank shells destroyed many of the residential homes. In the central part, Nuseirat refugee camp, which has been struck repeatedly, was targeted in the early hours of this morning.

Meanwhile in Gaza City, in addition to the hospitals being under heavy bombardment and encircled by tanks, the two densely populated neighbourhoods of al-Zaytoun and al-Shujaiya were also under heavy air strikes.
