Pakistan Ulema Council chairman Tahir Ashrafi has said the entire Muslim world was looking on Riyadh — where a summit of the Organisation of Islamic Council (OIC) on the current situation in Gaza is set to take place on Sunday.
“We hope, pray and wish that our leadership will take a decision which would bring a solution to the bleeding wounds of the Muslim ummah,” he said in a press conference in Lahore.
He clarified that Pakistan’s policy regarding the Palestinian issue would remain the same, adding that both the prime minister and army chief stood by this stance as well. “We pray that this this tyranny ends and Palestinians finally are able to settle in their homes,” Ashrafi added.
