Palestinian ambassador to the UK Husam Zomlot has termed Israel’s bombing of Gaza the “continuation of a 75-year-old repression by the occupier against the occupied”.

“And the thousands of innocent people murdered by Israel is not ‘unintended collateral damage’ but established Israeli military doctrine of targeting civilians to pressure fighters,” he said during an interview with CBS News.

Zumlot added that the US position on “humanitarian pauses” is unacceptable and that it should play the role of an honest mediator. “There must be an immediate ceasefire.”
