JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has met Hamas leaders Khalid Mashaal and Ismail Haniya in Qatar.

According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), he arrived in Qatar yesterday along with a delegation. A detailed exchange of views took place between Fazlur Rehman and Hamas leaders.

The JUI-F chief said Israel was attempting to change the status quo in Palestine through oppression and injustice. “Advocates of developed countries have blood-stained hands of innocent children and women.”

On the occasion, Hamas political head Haniya termed it a duty of the Muslim Ummah to unite against Israeli injustices. “Countries advocating for human rights are sailing ships filled with weapons to Tel Aviv,” he said.

Mashaal said Kashmir and Palestine have been a litmus test for advocates of human rights.
