KARACHI, Feb 13: A hat trick by Daniyal Alvi propelled Karachi Grammar School (KGS) to a 4-2 victory over Army Public School (APS) in the Karachi United school soccer championship at DHA Football ground on Sunday.

Starting with the 12th-minute goal, Daniyal netted his second two minutes later before Sikander Butt of APS reduced the margin in the 16th minute. Rizwan Butt of KGS made it 3-1 in the 44th minute, while Sikander got his second in the 67th minute.

Daniyal, the Man-of-the-Match, sealed the fate of the match with a 68th-minute strike.

Adnan’s match-winner helped Lyceum School edge past St. Patrick’s School 1-0 at the same venue. After a barren first half, Lyceum broke the ice with an Adnan goal in the 68th minute.
