The Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza has been forced to shut down most of its power amid the lack of fuel, Medical Aid for Palestinians has said.
“Lights are off on wards and the mortuary power is shut down. Electricity is now only available for essential services including ICUs and operating theatres,” it said in a post on X, adding that bodies were being stacked in their dozens for people to collect for burial.
“Hospitals have appealed for canned food and water for patients and staff.”
