TAXILA: A 22-year-old man was shot and injured during a robbery in near Mohra Maradu, an ancient Buddhist site, in the limits of Taxila police station on Wednesday, sources said.

The victim, Waseem Khan, reported to the police that he was going towards his house when two people came on a motorcycle and intercepted him and snatched his mobile phone and cash. As he resisted, they opened fire on him and fled.

Later, the injured was taken to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Taxila. The police registered a case and launched further investigation.
