The director of the Al-Quds Hospital has told Al Jazeera that there was no police or military presence at the medical facility.
“Just thousands of Palestinians here, many of whom have lost their homes. Thousands of others are seeking shelter in UNRWA schools,” he said.
“Israel is targeting every single building around Al-Quds Hospital. Why is that? Nobody knows,” he added.
Earlier, the Palestine Red Crescent said Israel had warned to evacuate the Al-Quds Hospital. However, the World Health Organisation has said vacating the health facility would puts thousands of people at risk and termed it “impossible”.
