Hospitals in the Gaza Strip can no longer receive any new patients, Dr. May Al Kaila, the Palestinian Authority (PA) minister of health, has said in a press conference.

According to Al Jazeera, Kaila said 12 hospitals were not operating in the besieged enclave due to lack of fuel or Israeli airstrikes while remaining hospitals could no longer accept patients due to overcrowding.

She said the Al-Shifa Hospital alone is sheltering 50,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and doctors are operating in hospital hallways using cell phones for light.
