Climate change activist Greta Thunberg called for an “immediate ceasefire” of the Israel-Hamas conflict as she expressed her support for “justice and freedom for Palestinians”.

In a post on X, she said, “Week 270. Today we strike in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected.”

In a photo, the young activist posed with three others, who held banners in support of Gaza — one reading ‘Free Palestine’ and another stating ‘This Jew stands with Palestine’.
