The Foreign Office has said a chartered aircraft carrying 100 tonnes of essential medical supplies, tents and blankets will depart from Islamabad to Egypt this afternoon from where they will be transported to Gaza.
Addressing a weekly briefing, FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said the foreign minister had also held meetings with his counterparts in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, Jordan and the UAE to discuss the ongoing situation.
“These conversations were centred around an in-depth discussion of the evolving situation in Gaza with a focus on sufferings of Palestinians and siege of Gaza,” she added.
