On the occasion, Senator Mushtaq, JI district chief Izazul Mulk Afkari and others said the Israeli forces had besieged Gaza from all directions and white phosphorus was being used against the unarmed Palestinians, killing innocent children and women, who had nothing to do with the war.

Senator Mushtaq said so far 8,000 bombs had been dropped upon the innocent Palestinians, killing thousands of civilians, most of them children, women and elderly.
