LAHORE, Feb 10: The Rescue 1122 emergency service provided first aid to 500 injured mourners and shifted 15 of them in serious condition to government teaching hospitals while giving medical cover to Ashura processions.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, 20 mobile teams comprising 16 rescuers provided dressing and medicines to the mourners, who sustained minor injuries owing to flagellate. While those having severe injuries and deep cuts were shifted to hospitals after provision of first aid by rescuers.
