PESHAWAR, Feb 8: NWFP Governor Khalil-ur-Rehman has said that by offering sacrifices for the supremacy of truthfulness Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions provided a great source of guidance and inspiration to the world.

In a message issued on the eve of Youm-i-Ashur, the governor said that each and every event at Karbala emphasized that one should face the hour of difficulties with courage and patience.

Mentioning the present-age demands, he said the nation was confronted with various challenges and in such circumstances, this great incidence of the history of Islam also demanded that ‘we must not lose spirit of patience’.

The governor stressed that a deep sense of awareness towards the national cause and unflinching spirit of patriotism must also be demonstrated so that a flourishing future for the country and socioeconomic wellbeing of its people could be ensured.—PPI
