SWAT: Police claimed here on Thursday to have recovered body of a missing four-year-old girl from the neighbour’s well in Kas Qambar area and arrested the accused.

DSP City Amjad Ali stated that on Sept 25, a resident of Kas Qambar named Zeeshan reported that his daughter had went missing in the Rahimabad police station jurisdiction.

According to police, the incident prompted Malakand regional police officer Mohammad Ali Khan Gandapur to take swift action and issue strict directives.

“Aspecialteam consisting of DSP City Amjad Khan and SHO Rahimabad police station Habib Sayed worked tirelessly under thesupervisionof additional SP Swat Ghulam Sadiq to uncover the truth and locate the missing girl,” said Rahimabad police.

They said the investigative team succeeded in tracing and arresting the prime suspects, who were next-door neighbours of the missing girl.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and stated that they had killed the girl and then put her dead body into their well, said the police.

According to the police, upon identifying the suspect, they recovered girl’s body and subsequently registered a first information report under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

The police said the reason for killing the victim was a conflict that took place between the accused and the plaintiff some days ago.
