KARACHI: The Oil Tanker Contractors Association (OTCA) has called off the strike after the Ministry of Petroleum invited the association for talks to resolve various issues on Wednesday.

Presidents OCTA Karachi and Islamabad/Rawalpindi Abidullah Afiridi and Noman A. Butt confirmed to Dawn that a meeting of oil tanker representatives with the Secretary Petroleum Division has been fixed for Sept 20.

Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association Chairman Abdul Sami Khan said that the oil supplies in Karachi were restored after Maghrib prayers.

As some pumps were seen closed till the evening, an official in the Oil Companies Advisory Council said it would take time to top up all the pumps.
