KARACHI: Rangers, police and Customs officials have recovered a huge quantity of smuggled goods in a joint raid on a warehouse near the bus terminal in Yousaf Goth, Saeedabad.

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza said that acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers conducted a raid on a godown in Saeedabad, which was full of non-custom-paid goods, including milk powder, dry fruits, black pepper, electronic items, tyres, plastic material, tea, cardamoms and Irani rexine.

“All the things found were in a huge quantity, about five or six truckloads. A Customs intelligence team was called at the location for handling the goods,” added the South police chief.

Separately, a Rangers spokesperson said the goods had been handed over to the Customs for further legal action.
