Food inspector held for corruption

KASUR, Feb 6: The anti-corruption establishment on Monday arrested a food inspector for corruption.

Reports said M. Yasin during his posting at various centres in the district embezzled wheat and raw material worth millions of rupees. After an inquiry, the food department had terminated him from service and ordered him to pay Rs38.8 million. On non-payment, his case was referred to ACE deputy-director Ushar Hameed who got him arrested.

SECURITY: Tehsil Nazim Naveed Hashmi Rizvi along with Kasur ASP, SDOs and members of peace committee on Monday reviewed arrangements for the Muharram procession.
