NOWSHERA, Feb 5: A woman was killed allegedly by her husband and her body was thrown in a deserted place on Saturday. The alleged killer, Pervez, chopped nose, lips and other parts of the face of the deceased, Raisa Bibi and escaped with his third wife and children.

An FIR has been lodged with the Akora Khattak police by the brother of the alleged killer, Jehanzeb. The daughter-in-law of the couple is said to be a witness to the killing.

The accused had married Raisa Bibi 15 years ago after the death of his first wife. About two years ago, he married another woman which angered Raisa and she shifted to her brothers’ house in Karachi.

A few days ago, a notable of the Jehangira area arranged a patch-up between the husband and wife following which Raisa returned to her husband’s house.

Ms Aasia told police that on their way back to Nowshera, the accused shot Raisa dead near the Soryakhel area, chopped parts of her face and threw the body at a deserted place.—Correspondent
