KARACHI, Feb 5: Speakers at a function urged philanthropists to come forward and provide assistance in any way that they could to the organizations that were working for the welfare of the handicapped people.

Speaking at the function on Sunday, “milk party”, organized by an NGO Sahar Foundation, at Darul Sukoon, home for the retarded people, they urged the people to increase interaction with the handicapped people so that they could also overcome their inhibitions or shyness and could live their lives normally.

Comedian Ayaz Khan entertained the special children with his skits and jokes for over an hour at the function.

PPP MPA Shazia Marri, Sister Ruth of Darul Sukoon, Iftikhar Ghazali, Sajid Waheed, Rafiq Shah and others also spoke.
