LAHORE: Four women, including a class-IX student, were allegedly sexually assaulted in the provincial capital.

The rape incidents were reported on Aug 28 and the police lodged cases against the suspects with no arrest in any case so far as there were reports that some of the suspects had obtained pre-arrest bail while others were still at large.

The most disturbing incident was of a class-IX student, a resident of Old Anarkali, as she was allegedly gang-raped in a hotel room by two suspects.

In the FIR, she alleged that she developed friendship with ‘A’ through social media. She said he offered her a job abroad and she agreed when he told her that he had some good friends in other countries who were running business there.

On Aug 28, she said he offered her a part-time job for a few months in a hotel. She said he picked her up at Kalma Chowk, took her to a juice corner from where he drove her to a hotel of his friend in Gulberg for a part-time job.

They later took her to a room where they gang-raped her at gunpoint, the girl said adding the suspected rapists also made video clips to blackmail her. She said the suspects threatened to upload the video clips on social media if she approached the police, reads the FIR.

In another incident, a victim girl (A) in Faisal Town alleged that her female friend managed contact with a man ‘M’ who promised her a job.

She said she was waiting for her friend at a restaurant where the suspect came on a car along with his male friend. Both the suspects took her to a house offering a deal for job where they gang-raped her, she said adding they later fled the scene.

The police registered a case against both the suspects on the complaint of the girl with no arrest so far.

Resident of Amir Town, a man ‘S’ lodged a rape case of his wife with Misri Shah police against suspect ‘L’.

He alleged in the FIR that the suspect was his friend and he used to visit his house.

The complainant said during last visit his friend offered a job for his wife against a handsome package in a girls hostel.

On Aug 28, he said, his wife was out for shopping when the suspect called and asked her to reach a point from where he would take her to the hostel for job.

As she reached the given location, the man took her to a house where he raped his wife, the complainant alleged adding the suspect later fled the scene leaving her on a deserted road.

In Manawan area, suspect ‘K’ took a woman (S) to a house saying he wanted to return her amount worth Rs45,000. As she reached the house, the suspect allegedly raped her and fled the scene, according to the police.
