SARGODHA: Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti has declared 38 housing schemes illegal under the metropolitan corporation limits.

The transfer and sale of plots in these colonies, including Rose Valley, Ideal Garden, Al-Fajr Homes, Bismillah Homes, Arain Colony and Abdullah City, has been banned, and a letter has been issued to the revenue department in this regard.

Also, Khayaban Naveed is also included on the list of banned residential colonies, along with Paragon Valley, Dreamland, Raza Garden, Ghous Garden, Qartaba Town Phase 11, Royal Orchard, Shaheen Enclave, Shadman City, Green Homes, and Shalimar Smart City.

The metropolitan corporation has decided to demolish houses built in illegal housing schemes.

LAWYER KILLED: A lawyer was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Tuesday when he was going to attend court.

Noor Jaspal left his home in his car when near sem nullah the assailants opened fire. Jaspal lost control over the car, which plunged into the nullah. The lawyer died at the scene.

The Phularwan police registered a case and are investigating.

The Bhalwal Bar observed a strike and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

ACE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment has recovered Rs8.632 million from the defaulters of Bhakkar municipal corporation and deposited it to the government treasury.

The tenants of shops owned by the municipal committee in Bhakkar were not paying the monthly rent to the government with the connivance of the corporation staff.

The ACE traced the loss being caused to the public exchequer, collected it from the defaulters and deposited it in the government treasury.
