LAHORE, Feb 3: A woman was arrested on Friday for smuggling two children to the Gulf for recruiting them as camel jockeys. Ghulam Fatima Bibi and two children — Asif and Asim — were deported from Dubai on Friday. The Federal Investigation Agency arrested the woman and handed over the children to the Child Protection Welfare Bureau for rehabilitation.
Fatima Bibi told the agency that she had taken the children of her native town in Rahim Yar Khan to the Middle East some six years ago. She, however, did not disclose whether she had kidnapped the boys or ‘bought’ them from their families. A case has been registered against her.
