Chinese diplomats celebrate New Year

PESHAWAR, Feb 3: A 17-member Chinese diplomatic delegation celebrated the Chinese Spring Festival (Chinese new year) here on the invitation of the NWFP chapter of Pakistan-China Friendship Association (PCFA).

The delegation was led by Mao Siwei, deputy ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to Pakistan. The diplomats visited the Khyber Pass and Balahisar Fort, the headquarters of Frontier Corps. IGFC Maj-Gen Tariq Masood feted the delegation.

During their visit to Khyber Pass, they attended a briefing at Michni checkpost in Landi Kotal. There they also visited the Khyber Rifles mess and saw the historic picture gallery and marshal dances.—APP
