LAHORE, Feb 3: The PML-N will hold conventions at district and divisional headquarters from Feb 15 to March 15 to create an atmosphere for Nawaz Sharif to come back home.
At a news conference, provincial secretary-general Zaeem Qadri said the former prime minister would come back during the current year. He said Mr Sharif would soon meet PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. He would also address a gathering of his supporters on Monday.
The PML-N leader, he said, would call in the near future a meeting of party leaders in London to discuss the situation and decide the future course of action.
Zaeem Qadri said once the PML-N returned to power, it would set up a commission on the Kargil issue. Another commission, he said, would be formed to look into the issue of nuclear proliferation.
Condemning Denmark, France and Sweden for publishing blasphemous cartoons, he demanded that the government should sever diplomatic ties with these countries. He said Mr Sharif’s contacts with the Baloch leaders had established his patriotism.— Staff Reporter
