KARACHI, Feb 3: Cargo handling activity at the wharves on Friday was maintained on the higher side owing to larger handling of general cargo including rice, according to the KPT sources.

Total tonnage rose to 0.124m tons comprising 31,102 tons of exports and 92,528 tons of import tonnage, notably dry general cargo.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six vessels, Kota Waruna, Iran Sattei, Golden Express, E.O.S.I, to unload and containers, Claudius, to offload steel scrap, and Johar to offload crude oil.

Sailing was also active as Marcala Beria, Thor Captain, Hyundai Sprinter, Golden Express, Y.M.Fortune, West Gold, Shalamar, Seiko Maru-16 departed, while AlMaammori-2,Iran Sattei, Kota Tabah, Eax Sanctity, Kota Waruna, Johar and E.O.S.I are due to sail out on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Oriental Kerria, also with chemicals, PONL Buenos Aires, Chemstar Princess, with tallow, and Ever Guide, with containers.
