Amir and Zeeshan snatch hat tricks

LAHORE, Feb 2: Four more matches were decided in the LUMS Football Challenge here on Thursday. Government College University (GCU) defeated NUST EME 2-1. GCU drew the first blood through Fahad, who converted a penalty in the 30th minute.

Two minutes later, NUST wasted a penalty kick. Salman doubled the lead for GCU in the 60th minute scoring a field goal. Rana Qasim scored in the last minute of injury time but it was too late for the losers.

Three goals by Amir Baig and two by Ghazi Ghazan helped LUMS earn 5-1 win against NCA. Amir Baig (20th minute, 25th, 30th) and Ghazi (35th, 40th minute) were the scorers for the winners.

NCA netted the consolation goal through Zahid in the 60th minute.

FAST defeated UMT with a solitary goal scored by Yasir Afridi in the 9th minute.

A hat trick by Zeeshan Bajwa enabled UET Taxila thrash IBM Karachi 4-1. Irfan put UET ahead in the 9th minute.

Zeeshan doubled the lead in the 47th minute and scored back-to-back goals in the 55th and the 60th minute to complete the hat trick.

IBM got a consolation goal through Hussain Dada who converted a penalty in the 62nd minute.
