KARACHI, Feb 2: Pakistan cricket captain Inzamamul Haq plans to pick and choose which matches he plays in the future in order to protect a persistent back problem. The 35-year-old sat out decisive third Test against India and also missed last three days of second Test in Faisalabad.

“It is not a career threatening problem but it does become a nuisance if not taken proper care of. In future, I will try to sit out on matches where possible.”

Doctors have already advised him not to take long flights to avoid a recurrence of injury. However, Inzamam is confident he will be fit for one-dayers against India which start in Peshawar next Monday.—PPI
