KARACHI, Feb 1: The record-breaking Pakistan batsmen helped their team amass the highest total in a Karachi Test on the fourth day of the third and final Test against India at the National Stadium on Wednesday.

Pakistan’s score of 599 for seven declared eclipsed the previous highest total at this historic venue when the hosts piled up 565 for seven declared against Warren Lees’s New Zealand side in 1976-77.

Wednesday’s total is the 14th highest for Pakistan in 318 Tests and the seventh best in 144 home Tests.
