SUKKUR: The district and sessions judge on Monday sentenced five accused to three and two years imprisonment and also imposed on them fine for stealing electricity, interfering in official duty and misbehaving with Sukkur Electric Power Company’s official in Jacobabad.

The judge Abdul Gafoor Kalhoro sent the accused identified as Bhajan Lal, Vishal, Mahesh Kumar, Abid Lashari and Inayatullah Bhatti to jail after finding them guilty of the crimes.

The judge awarded three years imprisonment to Bhajan Lal and imposed on him Rs100,000 fine and handed down two years jail terms to the remaining four accused and imposed on them Rs 50,000 fine each.

Police had filed a case against them on a complaint lodged by SDO Abdul Khoso on May 20, 2022.
