KHAIRPUR, Jan 31: One Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh died in the Khairpur civil hospital on Tuesday. He was injured in a police encounter at the National Highway near Therhi on Monday.

Police had attacked the place on information that two persons who had snatched a van from Khairpur were going to Sukkur.

Shaikh’s accomplice Sadoro Chandio was arrested during the raid. The body of Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh was handed to his mother Ms Bakhshul, resident of the Patni taluka in Rohri.
