KARACHI: HSC exams postponed

Published February 1, 2006

KARACHI, Jan 31: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, on Tuesday said that papers of HSC supplementary examinations scheduled for Feb 6 and 7 would not be held due to Muharramul Haram.

A BIEK notification said that the examinations in question which fell on 7 and 8 of Muharram would now be held on Feb 15 and 16 respectively, without any change of the centres and timings. Schedule for other examinations will remain unchanged, added the notification.

In the meantime, when contacted an officer of the board said that the decision to postpone the papers had been taken in view of the anticipated Muharram processions and traffic disturbances on the dates in question.
