GHAZI, Jan 30: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli said on Monday the construction of large water reservoirs was critical to meet the country’s growing water and energy requirements.

Besides Bhasha and Munda, other dams will also be constructed as the cabinet has approved the construction of five large dams by 2016, she said.

Anisa was speaking as chief guest at an awards-distribution ceremony held under the auspices of the Ghazi Press Club in Tehsil Ghazi, District Haripur.

She assured the representatives of Ghazi Press Club to extend all possible help in securing a suitable place or land for construction of a press club building and promised to provide all funds required for the purpose.

She said sustaining growth and economic achievements remain a challenge, which would be accomplished through sustainability of policies, with the main focus on human resource development.

She spoke about the local problems of Ghazi and Haripur.

PML-Q Member Provincial Assembly Faisal Zaman, President Ghazi Press Club Illyas Khan and President Tarbela Union of Journalists Javed Iqbal also spoke on the occasion
