Jashn-i-Baharan Cup

Published January 29, 2006

LAHORE, Jan 28: The LRC will hold the Jashn-i-Baharan Cup to mark the celebrations of the Spring festival on Feb 5. The event which was to be held on Sundaybut has been postponed for a week due to paucity of runners. The race is meant for the Pakistan-bred horses in class I, II and III.

The stewards also cancelled the Narowal Cup, a class IV handicap race to be gone over 1600m for short entries. The cancellation of the two cup events has made the Sunday’s card unattractive for connoisseurs of the equine sports.—A.G.
