Method

In a bowl, start by whisking together half a cup of milk, cocoa powder and corn flour until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.

In a saucepan, the remaining one cup of milk and sugar are brought to a gentle boil, on medium flame. Once it starts boiling, pour the milk and corn flour slurry into the saucepan, using a sieve to ensure a smooth and creamy consistency.

It’s important to whisk constantly to combine the two mixtures during this step to prevent any lumps from forming.

In a few minutes it will start to thicken. If it becomes too thick, you can add a tablespoon of milk. When it is thick, but smoothly blended, take off from heat and transfer the mixture into individual ramekins or serving bowls.

Chill the chocolate pudding in the refrigerator for about four to five hours, until it sets.

Whether you enjoy it on its own or pair it with your favourite garnishes such as fresh berries, whipped cream, or chocolate chips or shavings, this chocolate pudding is guaranteed to bring pure joy to your taste buds.
