Teachers found absent

LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 27: Several teachers were found absent when Executive District Officer, Schools and Literacy, Attaullah Khan Meenakhel, paid a surprise visit to a number of schools in Tajori subdivision on Friday.

The department had received complaints about teachers’ poor attendance in government schools in the area.

Some teachers of the Government Girls Middle School, Tajori, and the Government Primary School No.2, Tarikhel, were found absent, while the staff of the Government Middle School for Boys, Tajori, had left 45 minutes before the closing time.

However, teachers of the Government High School, Tajori; Government Primary School No.2, Tajori, and Government Middle School, Tarikhel, were found performing their jobs.

The EDO ordered deduction from salaries of the teachers found absent and disciplinary action against them.
