ISLAMABAD: The Government is to introduce a Bill in the National Assembly to provide for the prevention of interference with the Armed Forces of Pakistan. The Bill is designed to keep the Armed Forces in the highest state of efficiency, free from any sort of interference and undesirable criticism of the discharge of their professional responsibilities for the defence of the country. The law sought to be enacted is titled: the Prevention of the Interference with the Armed Forces Act, 1973. Punishment … includes imprisonment for a term that may extend to 14 years.
