KARACHI, Jan 27: Seven ships carrying steel cargo, soyabean meal and to load rice, naphtha and molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity a the wharves maintained on the higher side where eight vessels, Yick Wing to unload and load general cargo, Al-Maha to offload soyabean meal, Global Prince, Kota Tampan, CMA CGM Swala and APL Orchid to unload and load containers and Sunniva to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of nine.

The departing vessels were led by Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Moon, APL Orchid, Kuo Hung, CMA CGM Swala, Mercs Rhunu, Irene, Cheyenne and Dina Queen, while Almar, Global Prince, Corin Thaikos, Sagamore, Stella Tarza, MOL Silver Fern, Kota Tampan and Wan Hai-311 are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 80,823 tons comprising 32,109 tons of export cargo and 48,714 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Uni Tank, to load 10,000 tons of molasses, Victorious, to load 40,000 tons of naphtha, Swat to offload 65,000 tons of crude oil, Mu San to load 13,000 tons of rice, Seven Star, to offload 5,500 tons of soyabean meal, Pescadores Bulker, with 17,000 tons of steel billets, and Iron Butterfly, with project cargo.
