ISLAMABAD, Jan 31: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday extended the date of sending enrolment forms to registration officers/assistant election commissioners till Feb 11.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (retd) Irshad Hasan Khan has taken the action to ensure accuracy of the voters’ list.

The CEC also directed the registration officers/assistant election commissioners to take all possible measures to ensure that there was no double registration, inclusion of names of dead people on the voters’ lists and the registration of under-age voters.

According to an official announcement, the extension in the date has been made to give more time to eligible voters to get themselves enrolled.
