Three brothers in Davis Cup squad

KARACHI, Jan 26: Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) on Thursday announced Pakistan team for Davis Cup first round clash against Chinese Taipei from Feb 10-12.

The squad includes three Khan brothers Jalil, Aqeel and Yasir. The team was announced after six-day trials.

Squad: Aqeel Khan, Aisamul Haq, Asim Shafik, Jalil Khan and Yasir Khan. Muhammad Khalid will accompany the team, as non-playing captain while Saeed Hai will act as manager.

The seven-member Pakistan team will leave for Hong Kong on Feb 1, where they will undergo a week-long training before their Davis Cup assignment.

Meanwhile, a training camp has been set up at Karachi Gymkhana where the players will train till Jan 30. Star player Aisamul Haq who is presently in Lahore will join the camp on Saturday.—Agencies
