Devastating spell by Haris

KARACHI, Jan 26: The Karachi Intermediate Board (KIB) and Karachi Secondary Board (KSB) won their matches in the Inter-boards cricket championship Zone-II on Thursday.

At TMC Ground KIB beat Multan Board by 54 runs. KIB batting first rattled up 192 for eight wickets in their 40 overs with Nazish Ghous making 65. Sami Arshad (38) and Ahmed Iqbal (27) also batted well.

Multan Board despite a flying start of 120 for two, slumped to 138 all out. Pacer Haris Shamim caused the main damage with six wickets for 23 runs in seven overs. Yasir Hussain got three for 27.

At Students Ground Liaquatabad, KIB beat Sindh Board of Technical Education by seven wickets. SBTE were bowled out for 111 in 29.1 overs. Tabish Nawab took four wickets for 29.

KSB achieved the target for the loss of three wickets. Abdul Wahab made 46 and Captain Mannan Aftab finished 32 not out.

In another match Faisalabad got walkover against DG Khan Board.—APP
